Over the years I have searched and searched for some kind of skincare routine for my dry, sensitive skin. I’ve gone through all kinds of drugstore products, as well as Curology and Averr Aglow. Usually, I prefer a more laid-back skincare routine, one where I don’t have to use 10 different products every morning and night. Before, I struggled with itchy, dry, and flaky skin that was distracting throughout my day. Finally I have found something that works amazing! Now, my skin glows and feels very comfortable.

Shopping around for a skincare routine for dry sensitive skin…
When I was shopping for yet another skincare routine, I was trying to start from scratch after having used a glycolic acid mud cleanser that made my skin break out horribly. I was looking for something calming and moisturizing. At Ulta, a worker helped me look at a few different options. The brand Tula caught my eye, and I looked at each of their many products on display.
As a broke college student, I was hesitant after seeing their prices (read more to find out how I made these products last for an entire 6 months or more!! ~ Makes the price very worth it), but had tried so many products thus far that I was willing to drop the money in order to find something that made my skin feel better. At this point, it was no longer as important to me how my skin looked, it was about finding something that helped with the discomfort. I decided on three items after standing there, reading bottles and ingredient lists for what seemed like forever!
The first skincare item that I chose was this amazing cleanser:
This cleanser stood out to me not only because of the ingredients but also the claims on the front of the bottle. I wondered whether or not it would actually calm my skin like it said it would. I also needed it to cleanse my skin enough that it wouldn’t feel oily and I wouldn’t break out. To be completely honest one thing that did attract me was the beautiful packaging, but once I tried it out, whoooo boy. I was hooked. This cleanser is milky and gentle and leaves my skin feeling very clean while not feeling stripped completely. I use about 1-3 pumps when I wash my face, and only wash my face as needed (about 5 times a week or so.) Paired with the next two products (or on it’s own), it is absolutely magical.
The next product: A natural exfoliant!
This scrub smells SO GOOD. I mean, the other products that I am mentioning in this post also smell amazing but THIS FREAKING SCRUB. Also, this stuff is great at exfoliating without feeling like I am rubbing literal 60 grit sandpaper on my face, LOL. It smells great, works great, and lasts forever. I have had this same bottle for over 6 months! I usually use about a pea-sized amount and exfoliate only once or twice a week depending on how flaky my skin is. Most estheticians recommend taking it easy on the exfoliators, so when using this product, be gentle with the pressure that you use on your delicate facial skin!

The most IMPORTANT skincare product in this list:
Oh wow wow wow. This. Moisturizer. It is my go-to moisturizer probably for the rest of forever. (Tula, please always have this in stock <3). It calms and soothes and smells great. I use about two teaspoons on my face after cleansing and exfoliating. This is by far the most important product that I have for my skin because of the way it makes it feel and how it makes my skin absolutely glow! It is definitely the perfect addition to the best skincare routine for dry sensitive skin!
Thank you so much for reading about my journey to find the very best skincare routine for dry, sensitive skin!
